The zucchini and rosemary soup was so good. I was just like, amazed at how good it was, and it had these really thinly sliced scallions on top and some kind of pepper in it that gave it just the right amount of heat … and … oh, god.

LET ME GUESS. IT WAS MADE WITH CHICKEN STOCK.

And bacon fat! They sautéd the onions in bacon fat!

NO MORE VEGAN POTLUCKS FOR YOU. NO MORE HOUSE PARTIES, PBR, TATTOOS OF CARROTS … NOTHING.

I’m going to have to move out of Portland! Where am I supposed to live?

THERE’S PROBABLY A RETREAT IN BERKELEY FOR PEOPLE IN A SIMILAR SITUATION. LIKE A COMBINATION SHELTER/REHAB TYPE THING.
